During the Bugs for Billions Workshop Nov. 12, Muirlands students were treated to an extraordinary lab workshop organized and hosted by the Monsanto Company. Learning from microbial scientists from the company's San Diego Research Center, students worked in teams to understand soil microbes and how they are essential to promote plant growth and food production. Students worked with real-world products and processes at several hands-on stations, had fun and learned a whole lot during the process.
