About Us

WHO are we?
The Muirlands Foundation is a non-profit fundraising organization dedicated to enhancing the middle school for our students, staff, and parents. The Foundation is a 501(c)3 run by parent volunteers. The Board collaborates with faculty and staff to best meet the needs of our students.
WHAT do we do?
We raise funds mainly through our annual giving campaign, "Muirlands Gives", to provide financial support for a wide variety of causes that the District is no longer able to provide:
Instructional Assistance:
- part of the salary & benefits of 1 Vice Principal and 1 Counselor
- a portion of the nurse’s and librarian’s salary
- after school tutoring staff
- science class support
- mini-grants for classroom teacher support
- a class sets of text books (so your child can keep his/her book at home)
Community Builders and Programs
- Meet and Greet in the beginning of the school year
- our annual "Muirlands Rocks" community event
- After School Clubs
- Teen Truth Live: 3 assemblies and youth leadership training (new this year!)
Scholarhips:
- scholarships for student/staff travel to 7th grade Yosemite and 8th grade East Coast
Campus Beautification:
- potted plants placed around campus
- campus clean up
- beautiful benches to be placed in the front corridor (new this year!)
Goodwill Programs:
- maintaining student lockers
- hospitality and teachers luncheons
- cultural arts
- discretionary funds for Principal
